So I got an Xbox One afterglow prismatic controller and I accidentally mapped the control sticks and can't remap them. Anyone know how to reset the controller?

Power the XBOX one console on.
Plug the smaller end of the controllers USB-B micro cable into the top of the controller.
Download and install your Norton product. Sign In to Norton. If you do not have a Norton account, click Create an Account and complete the sign up process. In the Get Started window, click Enter a New Product Key. To enroll in Automatic Renewal Service for your Norton subscription, Get Started. Download norton 360 with product key. The Official Norton Site for setup, download, reinstall is my.norton.com/home/setup where you can enter and activate your product key to setup your account. Download and install your Norton product on your computer. Sign In to Norton. If you are not signed in to Norton already, you will be prompted to sign in. In the Get Started page, click Download Norton. Click Agree & Download. Do one of the following depending on your browser.
Hold down on the directional pad (D-Pad) and plug the larger side of the USB cable into the XBOX one console while still holding down.
The controllers red LED lights will illuminate and the controller will begin to vibrate. You may then release the down input on the directional pad (D-Pad)
Press A on the controller.
The controller will then stop vibrating and the LED lights will power off.
Fully rotate both joysticks in a complete clockwise motion and pull each trigger fully (LT and RT)
Press down on the directional pad (D-Pad)
Let me know if that helps
If any of that doesn't work you can also download the afterglow app on your Xbox One and reset your mapping manually
I had the same thing happen when I reset the controller. Just reset controller and rotate the joysticks separately and the triggers as well if that makes sense.

Here is everything I have tried:
*Updated my windows fully
*I tried to update drivers by going into device manager and having windows find a solution (it didn't find a solution)
*I tried to update the drivers by downloading the Xbox controller drivers from the Xbox catalog called AMD64 and X86 or something along those lines. I have extracted both of these with WinRar and right clicked on the .inf and hit install. It gave me the error, 'The INF file you selected does not support this method of installation.' I also extracted the files and put them in a folder. I then went to device manager again and browsed for the folder instead. I selected it and it said it couldn't find the drivers even though the only thing in the folder was what I extracted.
Please help me, I want to play Dark Souls 3 with a controller!
